Concession rules
Since we are offering the Castle ticket in conjunction with the State Palaces and Gardens of Baden-Württemberg, concessionary rates for the Castle ticket are subject to the terms of Heidelberg Castle. These differ from the concessions on the other sections.
The nationwide fare regulations for the Deutschlandticket stipulate that the Deutschlandticket is valid on local public transport, but not on tourist/historical means of transport. Unfortunately, this also applies to the Heidelberg mountain railways, because as tourist railways they are not part of public transport either.
