How to get there using public transport

You can get to the base station by taking RNV bus 33 to "Rathaus/Bergbahn" bus stop. RNV bus 33 connects "Rathaus/Bergbahn" bus stop, Heidelberg Central Station, railway station "Bahnhof Altstadt" and Bismarckplatz.

You can also take the electric bus line 20 to "Karlsplatz". The bus between the main station and the old town via the stops Stadtwerke, Stadtbücherei and Seegarten - with connections to most of the bus and train lines in the city - runs from there via the Friedrich-Ebert-Anlage to Karlsplatz. The buses run weekdays between 9 and 20 clock in the 20-minute intervals and on Sundays in the 30-minute intervals. The fact that the stop Bismarckplatz is omitted, the travel time between the main station and the old town is shortened by about three to four minutes.
