Heidelberg funicular railways are running again

The summer timetable is going to start March 25.

As of today, Monday, March 18, 2024, the Heidelberg funicular railways are once again operating regularly between Kornmarkt and Königstuhl. The inspection has been completed. Over the past two weeks, the Heidelberg funicular railways have undergone an annual safety inspection.

Current timetable and changeover to the summer timetable
At the Kornmarkt valley station, the first lower funicular departs daily at 9 a.m. in the direction of the castle and Molkenkur, with the last ascent at 5.10 p.m. From Molkenkur downhill, the last train leaves at 5.40 pm. The lower funiculars run every ten minutes.
On the upper railway route between Molkenkur and Königstuhl, the funiculars run every 20 minutes. The first train down to the valley departs from Königstuhl station at 9.08 am, the last train at 5.28 p.m.
The summer timetable starts on Monday, March 25, 2024, and therefore the Heidelberg funicular railways will run longer in the evenings again.
